Abortion Help and Discussion with Human Coalition Organization by DTS
Dallas Theological Seminary's The Table Podcast with Dr. Darrell Bock interviewing Brian Fisher with Human Coalition organization with questions ranging from how Fisher began to work with the organization to how churches can be involved in practical ways to love women and the unborn children from being aborted (killed in womb).
Since the 1973 Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, the murder of an unborn child in the mother's womb (abortion) has been legislatively approved in the United States of America and over 50 million completed abortions as of 2016. This number is statistically the same or more of all the deaths in World War 2 if not all the years in the 20th century combined and then some.
But statistics are not the point nor is the legal freedom to choose to abort. The point is, what does God want for humanity, especially in this area of time, society, and culture. This is not a political discussion or how to be more righteous than another, but it's a cultural phenomena among others that needs to be addressed. This has to do with people, families, women and children, men, and most importantly God himself.
The podcast discussion provides a helpful way to discuss, think, and take action. Usually organizations exists because there lacks relationships or the current relationships are unaware in how to notice, address, and help in specific situations like this. We are thankful for organizations, but we want people to learn how to engage with the world around the with truth and love regardless of institutions or organizations. There's no need to wait to help.
For now, this particular organization, Human Coalition, and the discussion with Brian Fisher, provides a great pathway for people to get involved in their local area. Fisher advocates for church involvement and explains in detail how anyone can be involved either in the organization or just in life dealing with friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers, neighbors, and even strangers.
